Meditation
Meditation is a powerful practice that can help us achieve clarity and stillness within our minds and bodies. Though many people have found great success with it, there are also some who have trouble getting started—but why? Let’s look at why some people might find it hard to get into a meditation practice:
1. Fear of Stillness: For some, the thought of having to sit in complete stillness for an extended period could be intimidating. Without any distractions or stimulation, it can feel like we’re being forced to face ourselves and our thoughts—something which can be overwhelming for some.
2. Overthinking: While meditating, it’s common to become aware of all the thoughts running through our mind—and this can be uncomfortable! Some may find themselves overthinking and judging every thought they have while trying to meditate instead of simply observing them as they pass by.

Inability To Focus: Finally, meditating requires us to focus on one thing—whether that’s our breath or a mantra—and if you find yourself easily distracted or unable to concentrate on something for more than a few seconds, this could make it difficult for you to experience the full benefits of meditation. Though these might seem like barriers to an effective meditation practice, there are ways around each one! With patience, perseverance, and dedication, anyone can learn to overcome these obstacles and reap the rewards that come from regular meditation sessions.
